Description:

A whole body contamination monitor for personnel screening in controlled/uncontrolled zones. PETRON uses high-sensitivity plastic scintillators across head, body, hands (optional) and feet with fast response, audible/visual alarms, dynamic background subtraction, and a 15″ LCD that shows contamination location in real time. Rugged, water-resistant portal and foot deck; integrated PC, networking and passworded control for secure, high-throughput checks.

PETRON minimises occupational exposure in cyclotron, nuclear, and security environments by screening the entire body quickly and consistently. Operators can choose walk-through, pause, two-step, or front/back modes. Infrared sensors manage approach/exit; a light stack and buzzer guide users and flag alarms. Data are logged to the onboard PC and can be published to a network for centralised monitoring. The unit ships with lead shielding as standard for reliable, repeatable measurements in variable backgrounds.
